We went walking at a pond behind Olson Middle School in Bloomington and saw what we suspect is a female Greater Scaup. We were just doing a short walk so we didn't have a spotting scope.
The only other thing it could have been was a male Lesser Scaup in non-breeding plumage, but I wanted to ask whether Scaup's will have molted into their breeding plumage by now. Does anybody know?
