Hi All--

Erika and I set up our water feature a couple of days ago. This morning I
was absent-mindedly gazing out the window at the lower pool when I became
aware of a Winter Wren feeding along the rocks by the water's edge.
Remarkably, the wren was behaving somewhat like a dipper, bobbing its body
up and down, with both feet planted on the rocks. The wren did not enter
the water or drink. It fed among the rocks and the leaves by the pool's
edge, sometimes disappearing under leaves and rocky ledges.

I plan to sell tickets when I actually do attract a dipper to the water
feature--I will let you know when one shows up here in Rice Co. :-)
