Greetings fromt the FOREST along the Straight River in Faribault: A man in church this morning asked me what he should put in houses for wood ducks for bedding. I suggested wood chips and he said he had heard of that. So far he hasn't put in any material for bedding. in the boxes. He has wood ducks in his trees on his home place that stay in the trees but do not enter the houses for wood ducks. Have you had any experience with wood ducks not willing to use the houses provided for a period of time?
