A group of 4 birders relocated the Sage Thrasher at 4:15pm on the NE side of Lake Harriet in Minneapolis, at the previously mentioned site. It was seen at about 4pm as well. The bird had been hiding at the shore, behind the brush. It finally appeared, gave us excellent views, flew into a tree near the sidewalk (about 4 yards away from me) and made a beeline for the hackberry tree. It flitted about for about 20 seconds then returned to its skulking, out of sight.
For those unfamiliar with Lake Harriet, (like me!), this area is .1 mile north of 43rd St. W, along Lake Harriet Pkwy E. As I left, more birders arrived to find it. I hope they did.
