The Swainson's Thrush I saw yesterday returned to my neighbor's yard again. This time, it was 10 yards closer and I had some much much better photography opportunities. I posted the best picture on the Showcase: http://moumn.org/cgi-bin/recent.pl?op=showcase.
The picture turned out amazing, considering that I was using my cell phone camera! And it is no easy task to take pictures through your spotting scope with your cell phone, for those who have tried it. The median spring arrival date is April 26th, so I guess this observation isn't too rare. Does anyone know what are the three earlist arrival dates of this species? Good birding!
