This AM two Trumpeter Swans on the south end of Maple R. WMA. Lost sight of them as they moved to tall grass near shore. Suddenly they charged out to open water hotly pursued by a Canada goose. They took off and circled back over me. What an awesome sight they are in flight! Both had tan necks and heads, sure like to think they are a pair. They lit in a small field pond on the other side of the road and while watching them there, a Turkey Vulture entertained me as it soared around over the CRP land. I'm surprised scavengers haven't discovered the dead coyote on 563rd Ave just off cty 10, which has been there for some weeks.
