Hello,

Decided to celebrate this Earth Day by doing some morning birding.

First stop was Bass Ponds and Old Cedar Bridge where I found most of
the birds to be expected plus some FOYs: Broad-winged Hawk (BP),
White-throated Sparrow (BP), Swamp Sparrow (OCB), and Tree Swallow
(BP) (another pair of birders said they also saw Bank and Cliff
swallows there today).

Then over to Crosby Farm where I again found the usual plus another
Broad-winged Hawk, lots of Ruby-crowned Kinglets, and my FOY Belted
Kingfishers.

I also saw my first real treehugger. She was really passionately
hugging a tree for a few minutes. Only on Earth Day.

On my bike ride to work I saw some Horned Grebes along the north shore
of Lake Harriet (stopped for a few minutes looking for the Sage
Thrasher - I saw a photo on Facebook of the Thrasher that said the
photo was taken on the 19th - I haven't seen a report since the 14th)
