April 23 As expected with this south wind, a nice assortment of shorebirds was present at the west end of the lake this afternoon.
American Avocet - 4 Pectoral Sp - 200+ Dunlin - 3 Semipalmated Sandpiper - 1 Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs - 100+ Wilson's Snipe - 7 I did not relocate the basic Black-bellied Plover (black axillaries) or 3 Semipalmated Plovers present yesterday. Also Greater White-fronted Goose - 10 Franklin's Gull - 40 Horned Grebe - 1 Pelicans - 50 Common Loon - 1 Good numbers of teal, pintail, gadwall present.
