We will be driving to Mankato this weekend (from our home in Cotton) and I would love to show my younger son a Red Headed Woodpecker, a bird he has never seen. I would welcome any advice about reliable areas to search between here and there, or any other great birding areas near St Peter/Mankato worth visiting.
