Led a small group at the Purgartory Creek Recreation Area last night from 
6:30-about 8 pm for the Minnesota River Valley Audubon Chapter.  Water levels 
were fairly high. It rained a few times while we were there.  Birds seen:

 

American White Pelicans (4-5)

Forster's Terns (several)

Caspian Tern (1?)

Ring-billed gulls

Ruddy Ducks (15?)

Scaup (8?)

Mallard

Blue-winged teal (1)

Canadian Geese

Spotted Sandpiper (1 or 2)

Great Blue Heron (3-4)

DC Cormorant (1)

Bald Eagle (1)

Red Winged Blackbirds - male and female

Song Sparrows

Yellow Rumped Warblers

Roughwinged Swallow 

Tree Swallow - one inside a new-looking nest hole

Barn Swallow

Downy Woodpecker

Flicker, male and female
