Hello,

There were birds everywhere at Murphy-Hanrehan (Savage, MN - Scott
County) today but you will need good ears and eyes and a neck of steel
to see most of them.

I had at least 100 warblers - maybe close to 150 - with only 1 single
Yellow-rumper Warbler and 1 Palm warbler seen all day. Total of 15
warbler species seen or heard.

The vast majority (75-80%) were American Restart, Nashville, and
Tennessee warblers (many of which I never could see).

Also seen:

Black-throated Green - 3
Blackburnian - 1 (worthy of a fist pump)
Golden-winged - 2
Blue-winged - 2 (heard more)
Magnolia - 2
Common Yellowthroat - 3 (heard more)
Ovenbird - 4 (heard many more)
Yellow - (heard only)
Chestnut-sided - 3
Black&White - 3

The birds I missed may have been there but I am not real good with
Warbler songs/calls and the combination of dense foliage and heavy
overcast skies were not optimum for warbler viewing. There were a lot
of warblers that I could see moving around in the canopy but never
gave me good looks. Most of the warblers I have listed took a few
minutes of searching to find (at least they were singing).

Also, lots of Vireos (BH, RE, Warbling, likely Philadelphia),
Swainson's Thrushes, and House Wrens.
