I saw Northern Mockingbird today at Handberg's Marine in Crane Lake in northern St Louis County.
I couldn't believe my eyes! The weather today was cold and windy, with winds gusting to 35mph on the lake. I didn't have my field guide with me, but I recognized the large gray bird with prominent white wing patches, when he flew, and the way he held his long tail.
