The MSP airport mockingbird was still present in the SW corner from 3 'til 3:20 PM this afternoon. Not visible at first, he suddenly appeared on the brick ledge of the corner monument/sign, first on the west, then on the east side. He sang, dropped into the grass behind the sign, then rose to perch and sing again. I did not see him fly in or out. However, having found just to the SW of the intersection, beside the industrial parking lot, a tiny, hidden wetland bordered by small trees and shrubs, I find it more understandable that the bird might choose to stick around. Some secret airport St. Francis has even set up feeders by the pond!
