Chris Hockema just called to report that he, his brother John, and
Dave Bartkey found 6 Whimbrels at Olson Lake WPA in southwestern
Kandiyohi County. The birds stuck around for a bit but were then
observed flying off without returning. Chris said that there is a
total of about 3,000 shorebirds present at this location.
