I was able to get out this morning for a short while. I re-found the Tennessee Warblers, that I saw last Saturday, again this Thursday morning. I observed them displaying by fluttering their wings and chasing each other around. Maybe they are setting up a nesting territory? They are at the Sioux-Hustler Hiking Trailhead, which is on the edge of an Alder swamp. Also observed Alder Flycatchers and a Sedge Wren.

Then I stopped at the Astrid Lake Trail Black Spruce Bog where I found a Boreal Chickadee. There were also vocalizing Yellow-bellied Flycatchers and a trilling Junco. I did not hear or see any Connecticut Warblers at this usually reliable location. I hear that we are behind normal spring time flowering, etc. by 10 days due to cooler than normal temperatures.
