This Sunday (June 7th) I will be leading my annual Dakota County Prairie Birds
field trip. We will meet at the picnic parking lot of the Schaar's Bluff unit
of Dakota County Spring Lake Park at 7am. This is a free Minnesota River
Valley Audubon Chapter (MRVAC) field trip, but all are welcome to join us.
There is no need to call for reservations. After a short walk through the
picnic grounds we will drive to various natural grasslands around the county.

Directions: From Hwy 52, take CR-55 towards Hastings. Turn left on CR-42 to a
left on Idell Avenue. These last two turns have signs for the park.

Target birds usually found include: Dickcissel, Bobolink, both Meadowlarks,
Brewer's Blackbird, and grassland sparrows (Savanah, Grasshopper, Vesper, and
Lark).
