I checked out Purgatory Creek (Eden Prairie, Hennepin County) at about 2pm-2:30.

The Snowy Egret was about 150 feet from the bridge, near the cattails, on the
east side of the wetland. No spotting scope necessary.

Shorebird habitat is not looking good. All that was there today were 2 Least
Sandpipers and Killdeer. It seems more weeds (i.e. invasive Purple Loosestrife)
has taken over the main sandbar. Everywhere else where there are typically
mudflats are now filled with water and aquatic weeds.

I also saw my first-of-season Tennessee Warbler in my backyard yesterday.

Good birding,
