8/25 a.m. Jirik Sod Farms, Farmington Last night's rain deposited a goodly amount of water on the sod fields. Along with 4 very friendly young ladies from the metro area, we observed 10 shorebirds species including:
- Stilt Sandpipers...10 - Wilson's Phalarope...1 juv. - Baird's...1 - Semipalmated Plover...2 - Semipalmated Sandpiper...2 Ground water appears to be getting quite saturated, so conditions may hold for a few days.
