Hi folks,
We’ve had a large movement of Common Nighthawks migrating through the Duluth
area last evening and this evening. The count from the Lakeside neighborhood
(this is the second year of a nightly August nighthawk count) last night was
about 10,600. I have yet to get the official total of tonight’s count from the
Hawk Ridge overlook, but it was well above that total when last I heard.

Sorry for the unofficial numbers, but I wanted to give you folks south of us a
heads-up that big numbers are heading your way. We’ll post the final numbers
soon…

Happy nighthawk-watching! ☺
Debbie
