I checked White Bear Lake and Snail Lake Regional Park, for shorebirds today.  
There is still good habitat at both locations, but there were only Killdeer at 
White Bear Lake and no shorebirds at Snail Lake.  Here are a few other birds 
that I did observe.

White Bear Lake - Caspian Tern

Snail Lake Regional Park
Osprey
These birds were all observed in a mixed flock, on the South side of the park. 
Ruby-throated Hummingbird - 10
Black-capped Chickadee - 30+
White-breasted Nuthatch - 2
House Wren - 1
Golden-winged Warbler - 2
Tennessee Warbler - 1
Nashville Warbler - 2
Chestnut-sided Warbler - 2
American Redstart - 1
Common Yellowthroat - 3
Song Sparrow - 2
Northern Cardinal - 3
