Now that the sparrows are beginning to come down from the north, it is
time to think about ways to reduce collisions with windows at our homes
or where we might work. To me, it appears that several species of
sparrows are the most apt to fly into perceived bushes and trees when
alarmed -- they can not see the glass on our windows...to them it looks
like sky or vegetation. Most bird feed stores have products one can buy
to hang on or in front of windows to reduce reflections. Or, try pulling
shades, hanging wind chimes or whatever to be creative!
