For those birders that are new to gulls or just plain confused with immature 
gulls, I posted photos of immature Thayer's Gulls and a immature Iceland Gull 
to show the differences. Its not going to be long when many of these northern 
species of gulls will hit the Mpls. areas like Black Dog Lake, Lake Calhoun and 
the Mississippi River as winter approaches. I hope these photos give you a 
insight the differences of these two species of gulls in immature plumage.
