exotics, accidentals, casuals & rarities... We are on the flyway for the majority of the TUSW population that winters on Chesapeake Bay. For 1000's of years they have staged on the Mississippi R in November downstream from the metro area. They consistently fail to get a mention on the weekly RBA. Has anyone seen any tundras yet at Alma, Weaver, or Brownsville or other places? Is it still early? If someone knows of any flocks can you let me know? I talk to a lot of people about birds and encourage them to look for them and to watch them. They might get interested by seeing tundras. I know that many "nonbirders" stop along hwy 61(MN) or 35 (WI) to see and hear this bird. They are on the "list" of birds I look for in the fall. It can save a lot of time to know where to go.
