The owl is not in the box this morning. Crows and jays were making a big fuss in the back yard just a few minutes ago but I could not see anything.
Yesterday the owl was at the hole only a short time during the day, then went back into the box. It came up to the hole again at 4:45 pm until 5:10 then dropped back into the box. It was still in the box when we left to see a movie (Hurt Locker - an excellent film). It was not in the box when we returned from the movie. I'll post the next time we see it.
