Hi to everyone who's written about the gray-crowned rosy finch in Aitkin County:
We haven't seen it since December 17th (and not for lack of looking -- it's sure hard to bake Christmas cookies when there might be a gray-crowned rosy finch outside). If we see it again we'll be happy to phone anyone nearby who'd like to come and take a look. It's not looking too likely, but we'll keep watching for it.
