Had an adult Golden Eagle coast by slowly while we were walking the road to the
Ann Lake Campground a little while after noon today. We lost track of it as it
coasted to the west and out of the refuge. Extremely brilliant golden head was
really a treat. Definately out of place here in the winter. Also on the road
was a Red Crossbill about 100 yards east from the parking area by the
snowmobile crossing.
