This afternoon a couple of Fox Sparrows were foraging and calling on and near the top of the bluffs above Lilydale in St. Paul. (Lilydale itself is currently accessible only from above, by hiking down through the Bruce Vento Wildlife Viewing Area, next to Cherokee Heights Park.) There were also calls bringing kinglet to mind, though no kinglets were visible. Linda Whyte
