I just rescued a Blue Jay from our squirrel feeder. It went inside the jar and could not figure out how to turn around and get out. However, I believe if it had stronger footing, it would have been ok. The jar was filled as high as I could fill it. It was supposedly a "Blue Jay proof" design but obviously, that was not the case. I will be filling it at a lower level, and not at all when we are gone. I am glad I got home before sunset.
