Today the Phoebe returned, and we also saw the first Hermit Thrushes. Bluebirds
came yesterday. Song Sparrows over the weekend.
Cranes in the marsh frequently. That is SOME loud call when it's up close like
that! No wonder it can be heard over a mile away!!
I believe we would have ground sparrows, too, but our dog chases everything
that moves... I can't get her to understand the distinction between sparrows
and squirrels...
