Nice birding in Minneapolis today. Saw the osprey at 169 and 62, peregrine at
the Wells Fargo building (but not at the Colonnade). Plenty of RWBB, song
sparrows at the Wood Lake Nature Center with a few hooded mergansers and a
couple of northern flickers. Lake Calhoun had several coots with a blue-winged
teal mixed in and several red-breasted mergansers. The Minnesota Valley NWR
(from Old Cedar Ave bridge to just under 77) had rusty blackbirds, blue-winged
teal, wood ducks, eastern phoebe, common mergansers, red-breasted mergansers.
