Actually, this technique is reasonably commonly used for catching moths. I have
watched Eastern Screech-Owls up here in Manitoba do it with seemingly
consdierbale accuracy! Although most prey items are captured with the talons,
some soft-bodied flying prey (moths) are sometimes captured with the bill.
