Steve T. and I spent a couple of hours this morning  birding along Collischan
Road, a dead-end road that runs along the Cannon River  just north of Red Wing.
There were numerous warblers singing on territory along  this road, in
particular Yellows, Am. Redstarts, C. Yellowthroats and Blue-Winged Warblers.
In addition, we had a N. Parula and one Magnolia. Indigo Buntings were
everywhere. A nameless side road with a big "Road Closed Ahead" sign was
particularly productive. It was hard to see the birds well with the trees so
leafed-out but birdsong was nonstop.
