Schaar's Bluff Trailhead. 8395 127th Street E, Hastings, MN 55033.

We'll travel by car to various prairie and grassland sites in Dakota County 
where these beautiful birds flourish.  Meet at Schaar's Bluff (Spring Lake 
Park) parking lot. This trip involves very little walking.  Target birds 
include Brewer's Blackbird, Dickcissel, Bobolink, Orchard Oriole, both 
Meadowlarks, Lark Sparrow, Grasshopper Sparrow, Clay-colored Sparrow, Vesper 
Sparrow.  Bring lunch. Directions: from the north, take I-494 to State Hwy 52, 
Hwy 52 south to State Hwy 55, Hwy 55 east to County Road 42 East, go east on 
County Road 42 for 1.8 miles to Idell Ave., go north then west on Idell Avenue 
one mile to Schaar's Bluff archway, turn north through archway to parking lot 
straight ahead.  Amoung the sites we will visit are the grasslands of the 
Randolph Industrial Park.  While the trip will go into the early afternoon, you 
will be in your car, so you can end the trip when you want.  This field trip is 
free and open to all.  No reservations are necessary.  Call only with questions.
