I just returned from a trip to Northern Minnesota.  During part of the trip, I 
was leading a Minnesota Birding Weekend trip to Beltrami and Lake of the Wood's 
Counties.  Here are some of the birds we found during the trip.

Beltrami county
Olive-sided Flycatcher - Big Bog SNA, board walk
Boreal Chickadee - Big Bog SNA, board walk
Warblers - 15 species, including
Northern Parula - CR 20
Magnolia, Palm and Connecticut Warblers - Big Bog SNA, board walk
Lincoln's Sparrow - Big Bog SNA, board walk


Lake of the Wood's county
American Bittern -3 birds were heard on the West side of the Norris Roosevelt 
Road, 1 mile South of the County line (Cecil's Landing). 
Least Bittern - Norris Roosevelt Road & the Roseau county line (Cecil's Landing)
Sharp-tailed Grouse - CR 3 & Pitt Grade Road
Marbled Godwit - One bird was observed in flight along CR 6, 1/2 mile South of 
Highway 11 & another bird was observed in flight at Morris Point.
Whip-poor-will - many heard at various locations along the Pitt Grade road and 
Norris Roosevelt Road.
Black-billed Cuckoo - Norris Roosevelt Road, 3.5 miles South of County line.
Western Kingbird - Morris Point
Blue-headed Vireo
Boreal Chickadee - Faunce Road, 2 miles North of Faunce.
Warblers - 17 species, including
Black-throated Green, Blackburnian, Pine, Palm, Northern Waterthrush, Mourning
Connecticut - 3 were heard along the Pitt Grade Road, including one that was 
observed 2.2 miles South of CR 3.
Le Conte's Sparrow - CR 6, 1/2 mile South of Highway 11.
Lincoln's Sparrow
Purple Finch
Pine Siskin

Roseau County
Whip-poor-will - 680th Ave (Norris Roosevelt Road) - 8 birds heard along this 
road.
Magnolia Warbler
Lincoln's Sparrow
