There is at least one black tern at Lake Vadnais. I watched it yesterday, it was flying over the smaller Vadnais lake by Rice Street. I've seen it there for several days. There are still quite a few pelicans present, lots of cormorants. We also saw 2 king fishers chasing each other and a small handful of yellow warblers.
