A lot of talk lately about hearing loss and how it affects birding by ear. I'm "only" 55 but suffer from hearing loss, especially in the high frequencies. I recently was fitted with the latest hearing aids and I can't believe how well they work. I now am hearing bird calls I haven't heard in 20 years. Hearing bird calls is just one benefit of wearing hearing aids. I don't need to say "what" very often anymore.
