Sharp-shinned Hawk
Peregrine Falcon
American Golden Plover - 270th Ave, .25 miles South of 60th Street
Lesser Yellowlegs - Same location on 270th Ave.
Dunlin - Same location on 270th Ave.
Eastern Screech-Owl - Faribault county
American Pipit - Same location on 270th Ave.
Gray Catbird
Orange-crowned, Yellow-rumped, Palm, Blackpoll, Common Yellowthroat, Warblers.
Savannah Sparrow - There was a huge movement of this species in the morning
today, with over 500 birds counted in one Soy Bean field alone.
Le Conte's Sparrow - 60th Street, .5 miles East of 290th Ave. We observed 10 +
LeConte's Sparrow's in a patch of Big Blue Stem grass, on the North side of
60th Street from 7:30 to 8:30 am. We returned in the afternoon and at 5:00 pm,
there were only a couple Savannah Sparrows present at this location.
Nelson's Sparrow - 3 +, These birds were observed in the same location as the
LeConte's Sparrows. This location and the area, a quarter mile West had a
large number of Sparrows. The birds we counted, were observed within 30 feet
of our vehicle. So my guess is there were many more, in the field on the South
side of the road.
Bobolink - 60th Street, .25 miles East of 290th Ave.
