Scoters are still present just west of the beach at Lake Waconia. Another means
of viewing this area, rather than from the Carver County regional park, is to
turn right (north) at the Kwik Trip and go to the third right. This is Old
Beach Lane and parallells the lake shore going east. It ends at the west edge
of the park. From the last house to the beach would be the most productive
area. There are also Bonaparte gulls flying along the shore in addition to the
species listed by Mr. Cyrus.
