On Monday, after the Snow Goose, blue morph, that spent some time in my yard
at Crane Lake flew away, I went for a hike on the Herriman Lake Trail. I
found a male 3-toed Woodpecker. I was back by Knute Lake about 1 mile from
the trailhead. The light was perfect for a photo, but I didn't have a
camera.

Last week in the same area on the Herriman Trail, there was a male
Black-backed Woodpecker. It seems that many Gray Jays have moved into the
area in the last few weeks.
