A flock of snow buntings numbering in the hundreds was foraging in
farm fields on the north side of 180th St., just west of Emery Ave,.
late this morning.
Also, a female Northern harrier was hunting over the farm fields just
east of the entrance road to Schaar's Bluff, mid morning.

A heads-up: if you plan to bird any parks in the next several weeks,
it might pay to check the internet ahead of time for a listing of
scheduled deer archery hunts, for which a park may be closed. (That
was the case with Spring Lake Park Reserve today, and has been true of
several parks where I'd planned to exercise.)
