Crazy bird day at home today. Red-shafted Flicker flew in for a few
moments. It flew, and when I went to look for it I observed a
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, and Down Woodpecker in another tree. A while
later, Eurasian Collared-Dove, and Mourning Dove were both seen. Not long
after, a lone Chipping Sparrow mixed with the resident House Sparrows. Also
unusual for our residence were 4 Cardinals (2 pair). I asked my wife if its
like this every day (when I'm at work). She said, "I better not tell you...
you might not ever go to work again".
