The pair of grosbeaks that showed up a few weeks ago recruited about 14 others- a nice mix of males and females- and today, one male evening grosbeak. When they move in to the feed bins they are enough of an army to overcome the 6 bluejay seed hogs. It doesn't take much drama to amuse us in this white wilderness.
