I have just moved to Alexandria and upon learning that there is no CBC have decided to start one. This is a spur-of-the-moment move and I have not submitted any paperwork to anyone. Carpe Aves. The count circle is centered on Douglas County Rd 42 on the channel between Lake Le Homme Dieu and Lake Carlos on the Alexandria Chain of Lakes. It includes the City of Alexandria, Lake Carlos State Park, two WMA's, Lake Ida, and most of Lake Miltona. I have created a map with the count circle on it and if you are interested in participating I'll send it to you. Honestly, I don't yet know the area very well and am excited to explore my new home in pursuit of birds on the first of hopefully many Alexandria CBC's.
