Many thanks to those who found these birds, and to Steve for reporting them.

Three Evening Grosbeaks were briefly reseen near the corner of 249th and Pinto at 1:00 today (in the residential neighborhood on the circle).

Both sets of directions are helpful. If you take 273rd, keep right and be patient with the road name changes. If you take the 65 route, believe Vernon is actually Verdin.

Thanks!

Subject: [mou-net] Evening Grosbeaks - Isanti Co.

Marilyn Shroeder, Ute Mckenzie, and Richard Skoog found the eight Evening Grosbeaks during the Cedar Creek Bog CBC on Sunday. "There were 8 Evening Grosbeaks sitting in the top of a decidious tree on the right. There were also some evergreen trees in the area. I can give you a general location. Take 23 South of Isanti, turn right or west on 273. Follow the road along the Rum River. Keep to the right and the road again joins 23. They were in that general area."

Alternate directions: Going north on Highway 65, turn west on CR24 (237th Avenue - I believe there is a Subway there). Go past the town of Bethel. Turn right at the T at Nightingale. The road turns west. turn right at Vernon St. and right again at 249th. The next intersection is the one she is talking about.
