At 8:15 am I checked our video camera and the owl was not in the box. Yesterday the owl spent the day sleeping and ripping up mouse chucks to eat. It did not try to eat it whole, perhaps because it was frozen. The owl spent a great deal of time sitting on the mouse, perhaps to thaw it.
I did not see the owl at the entry hole but I was on the roof clearing snow. It was out of the box after 5 pm.
