Hi All-- Season's Greetings! Thanks for putting up with my blog posts all year! As a way of saying thanks, I put a Christmas Eve gift on the right column of the blog. It as a link called "North America Lite." It is a heavily edited version of my old, free, North American bird checklist. The Lite version contains only birds of the United States, exclusive of Hawaii. (The larger list contained exclusively Latin American species.) Also omitted are some very rare species. I welcome input on birds that should have included or deleted!
The list is in the current AOU checklist order. You can further edit this checklist to suit your needs. It is an Excel file. You can further edit it to include only Minnesota or your county birds. I've copied it to a word processing file, reduced the font to 10, made it double column, and ended up with a 9-page checklist. I am going to use it to keep track of my birds-of-the-year for 2011. Enjoy! And may you have great birding during 20011! dan -- Dan or Erika Tallman Northfield, Minnesota http://sites.google.com/site/tallmanorum http://dantallmansbirdblog.blogspot.com http://picasaweb.google.com/danerika [email protected] ".... the best shod travel with wet feet" "Beware of all enterprises that require new clothes ...."--Thoreau ---- Join or Leave mou-net: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=mou-net Archives: http://lists.umn.edu/archives/mou-net.html
