Andy Forbes, Courtney Kerns, and I birded Meadowlands and Sax-Zim
between 09:00 am - 12:30.

Highlights:
Private residence bird feeder west across the street from Meadowlands
Community Center: MOURNING DOVE, PURPLE FINCH, PINE GROSBEAK

Arkola Road feeding station: GRAY JAY (several), PINE GROSBEAK (many),
BOREAL CHICKADEE (heard only)

Stickney Road, just south of Sax Road intersection: BOREAL CHICKADEE,
BLACK-BILLED MAGPIE

McDavitt Road: NORTHERN HAWK OWL (1.6 miles north of Sax Road),
BLACK-BACKED WOODPECKER (2.6 miles north of Sax Road), GREAT-GRAY OWL
(3.2 miles north of Sax Road) - missed any other great-gray owls, no
three-toed woodpecker either

Admiral Road feeding station: BOREAL CHICKADEE (2), PINE GROSBEAK
(many); caught the tail end of a MOOSE crossing Admiral Road south of
feeding station ~0.25-0.30 miles; tracks found crossing road further
south than where we spotted this moose.

Thanks to those maintaining feeders! They're great for concentrating
birds at a time of year when they're widely scattered.
