The L. Vadnais (Ramsey Co.) Townsend Solitaire is still present in the
location noted earlier in the winter. It came out of the cedars and
perched in a deciduous tree above the path to investigate us, before
disappearing back into the cedars.

Thanks to Jason's specific directions we were also able to enjoy the
New Brighton Rough-legged Hawk. It spent its time observing the
industrial field, from both various trees and mid-air positions,
kiting in the wind for a good stretch of time.
