Audubon Society of Minneapolis, Tuesday, March 8th meeting, 7:00 p.m. at
Brookdale Library

Please note: this meeting date and place is a change from the regular
monthly meeting

Come and hear Richard Crossley discuss his new book, The Crossley ID Guide:
Eastern Birds, which has recently been released. This stunningly illustrated
book from acclaimed birder and photographer Richard Crossley revolutionizes
birding by providing the first real-life approach to identification. Whether
you are a beginning birder or an expert birder or somewhere in-between, the
Crossley ID Guide will vastly improve your ability to identify birds.

Unlike other guides that provide isolated individual photographs or
illustrations of birds, the Crossley Guide features large, life-like scenes
for each species. These beautiful compositions show how a bird’s
appearance changes with distance and gives equal emphasis to the
characteristics experts use to identify birds: size, structure and shape,
behavior, probability, and color. Essential for all birders, the guide will
make new birders of many people who have despaired of using traditional
guides.

Directions: Take Hwy 94W to Shingle Creek Parkway South, exit 34, which
takes you across the highway. The library and service center will be on
your right, across the street from Target. There is ample parking. The
library address is 6125 Shingle Creek Parkway South.

The author will autograph books, and there will be a limited number of
copies for sale.
