Hi All--

Yesterday evening I banded a Pine Siskin here in Northfield. The bird had a
well-developed brood patch.  (Siskins have been common this winter in
Northfield.)

Also yesterday our neighbor raked her forest leaves and uncovered her patch
of Siberian Squill, with many budding and some flowering.  A photo of this
first flower of the spring is on my blog:
